Hope in God

There are days where it seems all I hear about is how someone is in the middle of fighting the greatest battle of their lives. I see it on the news, I hear it from the grapevine and I just see it on the faces of the women I encounter day after day. My heart goes out to all of these women.

If you have been given a very harsh dose of reality ~ know today there is hope! That hope is Jesus Christ and He has given you a very powerful weapon, the very Word of God, to use in the midst of your darkest times. Take it and stand firm on it today. Write it on the tablets of your heart and let it saturate your soul.

I want to encourage those of you who are facing a very big mountain this day to seek God and find refuge in His Word. Search it and find the hope you are desperately looking for because, believe me, it's in there. Rest on His Word today and be assured God is bigger than whatever it is you are facing right now.

"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me,for the Lord has anointed me to
bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the broken hearted and to
proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. He has sent
me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come, and with
it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies. To all who mourn in Israel, he
will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning,
festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like
great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory." Isaiah 61:1~3
