On Saturday, our church had the privilege of hearing from Pastor Brian Houston of Hillsong Church via his One Prayer message. His talk was about the Unstoppable Life. There were three main points he shared...
The Unstoppable Life:
1. Believes the best for the future.
2. Talks to the future.
3. Commits to the future.
Thought provoking. Over the last few days I have been taking inventory. Do I continually live an Unstoppable Life? At times I have. Say, when I'm believing for something specific. For instance, when I was hoping for my son. I believed one day I would have the child I so desired. Then I spoke health over my baby and pregnancy. Plus, I was committed to parenthood. But what about the day to day? Am I unstoppable? If you asked yourself the same...what would your answer be?
The other day, my son, was talking about what he wanted to be when he grew up. Being all of 5, his possibilities are endless. As his mom, I believe with all my heart he can succeed at anything. I don't think anything is out of his reach. As I was listening to him, admiring his innocence, the thought hit me. Just as I believe, with all that I am, in my son, my Heavenly Father believes just as much in you and me. Life doesn't have to throw us some major curve balls in order to distract us from our possibilities. So often, we just settle into life. Then occasionally, maybe we entertain the thought of our future. What does it look like? What more does God want for you and me?
Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." I love the beginning of that verse. "For I know the plans I have for you..." that is declared by our God. He has plans. Definite plans. Mind-blowing, life altering plans beyond our wildest dreams. Ladies, take a moment and let that sink in. Shake off the comfort of the mundane. For a moment, allow yourself to dream. Think...what if? Ask your Father above about the plans He has for you. Seek after the One who so beautifully knit you together. You were designed for this day and this time. You, my friend, can be unstoppable.
