NewLife Kids Ministry

To me one of the most important ministries at NewLife Fellowship is our children and here are some reasons why I am so passionate about NewLife Kids.

Our children are the future church. That means that in a few years, people will only hear about our loving heavenly Father from the generation that is attending children’s programs in our churches today. How important does that make our children’s ministry departments? Facts are that children are 32% more likely to embrace a relationship with Christ between the ages of 5 and 12 years old. By the time they reach 13 years old, most children have already established their spiritual identity. The kids who visit us on the weekends are in our care for an extremely short amount of time (on average 40 hours per year). That means that we must reach each and every child that enters the doors of NewLife Fellowship with the gospel of Jesus Christ. This ministry is urgent and it is serious but at the same time it’s the most exciting and fun area of ministry. What we do each and every week directly impacts the eternity of the children in our care.

At NewLife Kids our mission is to:
• Show kids God’s love
• Help kids love to come to church

Proverbs 22:6 says “Train a child in the way he should go. When he is old, he will not turn away from it.” (NIV)

We are committed to lead and teach children with age appropriate activities to learn to love God, to learn how to live for God, have FUN and want to come to NewLife Kids each and every Sunday.

One person cannot accomplish this. It takes many people working together with our own unique gifts, willing to serve our children each and every week to accomplish God’s vision for NewLife Kids. Every Sunday we have 10 to 12 adults and students working with the children of NewLife Fellowship. We have kids from birth to 5th grade in age appropriate classes learning about God and His love for them. Each summer we hold Adventure Week and we minister to the kids from NewLife and the Keller area during this week by gearing fun filled energetic services each night to make a difference in the lives of the children that attend.

If you would be interested in working with our NewLife Kids department we would love to have you join us. Rest assured you are NEEDED and would be greatly APPRECIATED!! We are expecting God to do great things in and through our Children’s department.

I’m excited to see what God has in store for us as we team up for the kids of NewLife Fellowship. Working together for a common goal: reaching Kids for Christ – one at a time.

Together we can!!! Ecclesiastics 4:9, 12 say “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work….Though one may be overpowered two can defend themselves, a cord of three is not quickly broken.” Let’s step up and be that cord of three (a team standing strong) so NewLife Kids will make a difference for eternity in the lives of each and every child that attends each Sunday.
